My life and my work rests upon three ideas: the original wholeness of our being, our body as a map of the psyche, and our deep interconnectedness which allows our inner work to offer healing to the world.
These three ideas reflect decades of work in mindfulness based, body centered, and experiential work.
As a seasoned practitioner of bodymind integration, I offer an educational model of personal transformation that is shaped by continuous studies in neurobiology, depth psychology, lived experience and wisdom traditions.
Becoming aware of body sensation and then allowing that awareness to reveal how we make meaning in our lives, is where I shine.
Earning a BA in Whole Systems Thinking & Contemplative Leadership brings structure and natural expression to how I engage. As a Hakomi Body Centered Practitioner, a Guild Certified Feldenkrais Teacher(r), and a student of BodyMind Centering, I weave together practices of embodiment, emotional intelligence and spiritual psychology. My work rests in a humanistic approach and is trauma informed.
I am the mother of one and grandmother to four beautiful young people. The learnings there are endless and humbling! I am inspired and revitalized by their presence. I am also revitalized by those with whom I work. It is my good fortune.
My life also includes music, poetry, writing, hatha yoga, communing with the natural world and study of western herbal medicine.
I receive supervision, counseling, and attend to my inner life consistently. It’s important for those who work with me to know I am accountable and human. We are all works in progress.
